FINAL SATURDAY OF MIDDLETOWN’S HOLIDAY ON MAIN
CANCELED DUE TO PREDICTED WEATHER.

(Middletown, CT) The final Saturday of Middletown’s Holiday on Main Street, which was scheduled to be held Saturday, December 17, 2016, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in Middletown has been canceled due to a forecast of rain and snow in the morning and afternoon.

“Weekend Holiday On Main activities are an important part of the month-long Holiday On Main Street, however, ultimately, due to the predicted inclement weather we decided to cancel the last Saturday of the event for the safety of our visitors and our vendors,” said Event Chairman Al Santostefano.

All activities including the horse and wagon rides, fun trains, and holiday story time have been canceled.

  • 10:30 a.m. – 12 noon – ORNAMENT DECORATING WORKSHOP at Green Street Learning & Teaching Center (51 Green Street), courtesy of Middletown Recreation & Community Services Dept. – Family members can decorate an ornament at NO CHARGE and take it home to put on the tree or use as a holiday decoration (as long as supplies last)!
  • 11:00 noon – 2:00 p.m. – All Aboard for Amato’s Toy & Hobby 7TH ANNUAL HOLIDAY TRAIN EXHIBIT! Relive childhood memories and make new ones at Amato’s Holiday Model Train Display! Don’t miss this interactive family friendly event! See the operating layouts and view the one of kind model train and toy collection in the lower level of Amato’s Toy and Hobby 395 Main St, Middletown. Admission is free!  The Train Exhibit is also open tomorrow (Dec. 18th) from 12 noon to 3:00 p.m.
